About the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Davao Doctors Hospital (DDH) has an ICU Complex located at 2nd and 3rd floor of the main hospital building.
DDH has five (5) Intensive Care Units. These are:
Coronary Care Unit (CCU) that caters to all non-infectious cardiac cases including cardiovascular surgery patients.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU-1 & ICU-2) that accepts medical and surgical adult cases with an Isolation Unit to cater infectious patients.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) that caters to all patients’ ages day old to eighteen (18) years old.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that caters critically-ill newborn babies.
All these units are equipped with state-of-the art facilities, with the latest and upgraded medical equipment to provide the highest quality of medical service.

What You Should Expect in the ICU
Most patients in the ICU are surrounded by medical devices and tubing. Special monitoring equipment keeps our nurses constantly informed about patient's vital signs. Each piece of equipment has an alarm that alerts the nurses to changes or movements. Should you have concern, please inform or ask assistance from our personnel.
