To protect the health and safety of the community from COVID-19, Davao Doctors Hospital (DDH) is implementing the following guidelines:
- Avoid visiting the hospital if you do not have any important reason to do so.
- The hospital has controlled entry points. Our security personnel will check body temperature upon entry and ask your travel history or possible exposure.
- Those with temperatures 37.8⁰C will be referred to the following:
- If staff – Occupational Safety and Health Team
- If client with no travel history to areas/countries with reported local transmission – Attending Physician of Choice
- If client with travel history to areas/countries with reported local transmission – Emergency Department Isolation Room
- Only one (1) watcher is allowed to accompany a patient for consultation or admission. Wear a mask if you have fever, cough and/or colds. Watchers must wear masks, too.
- Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are available at entrances and hallways. Perform proper hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and social distancing (maintain at least a meter from other people).
- Personal visitors of our staff is discouraged.
- Medical representatives’ coverage of doctors is temporarily discontinued.
Rest assured that DDH is taking the necessary preventive measures to reduce the risk and prevent the spread of the virus through:
- Organized infection prevention and control policies and practices
- Regular disinfection of common areas
- Wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by security personnel, medical staff, and front-liners
- Adequate supply of PPE and provision of training to healthcare team for its appropriate use to avoid lack of supply
- Strict implementation of isolation precautions
- Availability of dedicated facility to admit Persons Under Investigation (PUIs)
- Cancellation of hospital events such as lay fora until the Department of Health (DOH)’s Code Red Alert is lifted
