DDH, a Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital strongly advocate the national policy of rooming-in of newborns with their mothers to encourage, promote and support the practice of breastfeeding in compliance with the provisions of Republic Act 7600. All mothers will be encouraged to breastfeed exclusively for the first six (6) months and to continue breastfeeding for two years of life and beyond. Walk-in mothers shall be encouraged and supported to breastfeed their infants by providing a dedicated room solely for breastfeeding purposes. This is located at the ground floor of the hospital and in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for mothers whose babies were left in the NICU for medical indication.
